Kim grew up in a suburb of NYC. Her father and brother are retired NY police officers, and her mother was a nurse. Kim has been married to her husband, Mike, an Irish immigrant from County Kerry, for 30 years and they have 4 children, ages 17-26. They have lived in CT since 1994, and in Wilton since 2008.
Local Leader
In 2021, Kim was elected to the Wilton Board of Selectmen. In her position, Kim spends her time working to ensure responsible municipal spending, preserving town assets, and increasing public awareness and participation in town government. In 2022, Kim was appointed to the Reading Leadership Implementation Council. The purpose of the Council is to ensure the CT Right to Read law is implemented per the legislation. Kim has been vocal in her opposition to the Department of Education’s one-size-fits-all approach to the mandate.
Financial Expert and Local Volunteer
Kim is a CPA and former auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Kim has spent most of her adult life giving her time and sharing her expertise with many local not-for-profits. She has volunteered as a tax preparer for the AARP and was Board Treasurer of the Wilton Library until June 2021. Kim is always willing to lend her skills and time to volunteer projects that serve the community. Kim serves on the Wilton Water Pollution Control Authority, Employees Retirement Plan Investment Committee, and the Trust Fund for Post-Employment Benefits. Kim is a board trustee of the Family and Children’s Agency, Norwalk. She is also a member of the Wilton League of Women Voters, Wilton Garden Club, and Minks to Sinks.
